IMHO. By the way: does anybody have a photo of A.O. making his signature one-handed catch in center field? In 15 or 20 minutes of searching, I couldn’t find one on the web.

Check Topps and Donruss and some of the card sites. I seem to remember a card showing him making a catch.
I might be wrong, but it’s worth a try.
Good interview with Scott, but how can you put a DH on an all-time great team, and how do you not put Buck in the Hall? -
As for his “not putting Buck in the Hall”, it could be he was looking at playing performance and Buck O’Neil was just not that great a player. The only case for him to be in the Hall is based on contributions via PBS miniseries and no one’s ever made the Hall on such a basis before.

Scott asked me for a DH, and Williams is perfect for it (if you must have a DH inthe first place!).
I don’t have a strong opinion on the Buck O’Neil controversy, nor (like I said) on the HOF in general. -
But there is absolutely no doubt about one thing: A.O. STILL is the coolest player of all time. I just wish we had a position for that.
