infinite baseball cards

If you haven’t been keeping track, Gary Cieradkowski has been creating what he calls the Infinite Baseball Card Set—special baseball cards that highlight forgotten and obscure corners of baseball history.  There are cards for Negro leaguers, semipro stars, major league stars when they were in the minors or playing for sandlot teams, Japanese stars, nineteenth-century guys.  He’s got Alexander Cartwright, Eddie Gaedel, Bill Sayles of the 1936 U.S. Olympic team, Fidel Castro, Moonlight Graham, and Scott Simkus’s grandfather.

Check it out.  You can order sets for yourself, and Gary will even do custom cards for you.
